These colors are created by the depth of each lake, the surrounding vegetation, and the way the sun reflects off the limestone minerals on the bottom, making every body of water unique.\r\n\r\nThe park is divided into two main areas. \r\nThe first is the \"Colored Lakes\" zone, home to iconic spots like La Esmeralda, La Encantada, and Bosque Azul. These are surrounded by pine and oak forests filled with orchids, perfect for contemplation and light hiking. \r\nThe second area is Lake Tziscao, one of the largest and deepest, located right on the border with Guatemala.
